Summer Camp

Vacation Camps at The Weiss School

Camp Description: The Weiss School offers Vacation Camps to provide child care during school vacation weeks for PreK-2nd grade students. Three sessions Vacation Camp sessions are held throughout the school year during Thanksgiving break (November), Winter Holiday break (December/January), and Spring break (March). Each session has a variety of activities including tabletop activities, creation of themed books, outdoor play, sports, and other activities. Enrolled students are welcome to bring a scooter or bicycle to ride outside on the school track. 

Parents can register for one, two, or all three sessions. A discounted price is offered to students who are registered for all three sessions. Please note that instructors are hired and materials purchased based on the size of student enrollment for each Camp; therefore, refunds will only be issued if a session is cancelled due to low enrollment. The cost is $65.00/day or $935.00 for all 3 sessions and the daily schedule is 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is a maximum enrollment of 12 students enrolled per session.

Summer Fun Camp at The Weiss School

Camp Description: The Weiss School offers a Summer Fun Camp for Kindergarten - 5th grade students. Camp activities include Taekwondo, Arts and Crafts, Yoga, Engineering, Playground Time, and FUN, FUN, FUN with Weiss School teachers. Come out and join the FUN! The daily schedule is 8:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Summer Camp Adventures at The Weiss School

Camp Description: Summer Camp Adventures at The Weiss School is offered to Pre-K - 8rd grade students for two 4 week sessions during the summer break. The Camp offers small class sizes and all Camp employees are Weiss School teachers. A sample of weekly-themed activities include Bricks 4 Kidz, Mad Science, Kids Need More Art, Zumba, Johan Kriek Tennis Academy, Pool Days, and optional Friday Field Trips. The cost is $1060 per session/$265 per week and the daily schedule is 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m Monday through Friday. Aftercare is available until 6:00 p.m.

AC2ES at The Weiss School: Aerospace, Calculus/Communications, Engineering & Sports

Camp Description: The 2019 Weiss School AC2ES International Camp is a unique two-week summer experience designed to introduce students to the NASA/NSS Space Settlement Contest and welcomes campers to join the Wolverine international team. Our teammates in the past three years have included students from Chile, Peru, Germany, and China.

All camps will immerse students in the areas of aerospace science, a survey of the principles of calculus, and public speaking. Rising 5th-8th grade students will utilize functions, limits, derivatives, and integrals to better understand aeronautics. Campers will consider Newton’s and Kepler’s Laws, the rocketry equation, orbital mechanics, and practice Hohmann transfers. Students will practice the engineering design process to accompish team design competitions, and present and defend Martian and lunar settlement designs
. The cost is $350 per week and the daily schedule is 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
