Kindergarten - Eighth Grade Application Process

New students who are entering Kindergarten - 8th grade are encouraged to apply for enrollment at The Weiss School to enjoy the benefits of an individualized, gifted education where students advance at their own pace. The Weiss School academic curriculum is enriched by 6 Centers of Excellence that guide students through their educational journey by working with world-class, gifted-endorsed educators in small classes. Weiss School students learn to balance rigorous academic studies with extracurricular experiences that include academic competitions, athletics, and community service opportunities. Given the tools and experience needed for the 21st century workforce, Weiss School students in Kindergarten through 8th grade think and act with independence, responsibility, confidence, and poise as they prepare for their educational and occupational future.

  • Schedule and Complete Campus Tour with the Head of School

    Call The Weiss School Admission Department at (561) 209-2474 to schedule a personalized meeting and campus tour with the Head of School. During this tour, you will receive comprehensive information about The Weiss School and participate in a full campus tour to observe gifted education in action.
  • Submit a Completed Online Application with the $100 Application Fee

    Complete the online application form.
  • Schedule and Complete a Student Visitation Day at The Weiss School

    Families applying to The Weiss School will be contacted to arrange a student visitation day to complete an academic evaluation. The Admissions Department will contact the family to review the academic evaluation results. If the student is not in the country, an online interview will be scheduled by the Director of Admissions.
  • Provide all Required Student Records Including Student IQ Scores

    Complete the Teacher Recommendation Form and Release of School Records Form. Because The Weiss School is specifically for gifted and talented students, all student applicants must provide IQ assessment results with a minimum, full-scale score of 130.
  • Expect Notification from The Weiss School Admissions Department

    Expect notification from The Weiss School Admission Department within 3-5 business days for an acceptance decision. A contract from the Admission Department will be issued and must be completed and returned within 7 business days.
  • Choose a Payment Option

    Once accepted to The Weiss School and a New Enrollment Contract has been issued, a tuition payment option will need to be selected by the family. The Weiss School offers 3 types of payment plans:

    1. Tuition Paid in Full: If this option is chosen, within five (5) days of submitting the New Enrollment Contract, a payment to pay the tuition in full can be made via SMART Tuition the day AFTER the New Enrollment Contract submission. Payment can also be made in person at the School with a check, cash, or credit card.
    2. Tuition Paid in 2 Payments: If this option is chosen, a payment for one half of the tuition balance will be debited from your SMART Tuition account in June 2018 and the second half of the tuition balance will be debited from your SMART Tuition account in December 2018.
    3. Tuition Paid in Monthly Payments: If this option is chosen, 11 payments will be debited on a monthly basis from your SMART Tuition account beginning in June 2018 and ending in April 2019.
