Extended Day Program

• Before School Care

  To accommodate Weiss School families who need to drop their children off to school earlier than 8:00 a.m., Before Care is provided at The Weiss School each school day throughout the school year. Parents who enroll in this program can drop their children off at The Weiss School campus as early as 7:30 a.m.

• After School Care

  To accommodate Weiss School families who need after-school care or want their children to receive additional academic and enrichment opportunities at The Weiss School, after-school care is provided to Weiss School families from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 2:05 PM to 6:00 PM on Fridays. Students enrolled in after-school care are placed in groups according to age and grade level. In each group, supervision is provided by two after-school care counselors. Additional counselors and staff provide special activities including sports, technology, and arts and crafts activities.

• After School Activities & Clubs

  During after school care, various activities and clubs are offered on a daily basis. If your child participates in a club or activity and requires extended care after the club or activity has ended for the day, after care fees are adjusted accordingly. Most clubs and activities are facilitated by Weiss School teaching staff. Participation in Extended Day Activities and Clubs are based on a quarterly, selection-based process that parents/guardians must complete each quarter.

• After School Homework Time

  Homework time is required for all students who are enrolled in the Extended Day program and students engage in a quiet, 30-minute time study time period Monday through Thursday. A Weiss School teacher and After Care counselors work with students on their homework during this time. Homework help is available to any student who is enrolled in the After Care program. Students who do not have homework are expected to read or study quietly during homework time to make good use of their allocated homework time.

• Days of Operation

  The After Care program is provided each school day and on early dismissal days, with the exception of the half day before our holiday break and the last day of school. For further information related to school holidays and breaks, please refer to the our school event calendar.

• Registration & Application Information

• Payment & Fee Schedule

  Aftercare ONLY – Billed Every 9 Weeks

  • -  1 Day a Week - $165.00
  • -  2 Days a Week - $325.00
  • -  3 Days a Week - $490.00
  • -  4 Days a Week - $650.00
  • -  5 Days a Week - $685.00

  *Days cannot be transferred. If you need a different/additional day, there is a $25.00 Drop-In Fee per day
  
  

  Before Care – Billed Once A Month

  - Daily $6.00

  *All students, EC through 8th grade, who arrive prior to 8:00 AM will be charged the before-care fee. This is billed based on attendance once a month through your ProCare account. Students can be dropped off in the front office beginning at 7:30 AM.

  
  After Club Care – Billed Every 9 Weeks 
  - 1 Day following Club $90.00

  *Days cannot be transferred. If you need a different/additional day, there is a $15.00 Drop-In Fee per day

  Club pricing varies, beginning at $250.00, and increases from this price depending on the club

• Supervision and Student Pick Up

  All students in The Weiss School Extended Day Program are carefully supervised by staff each day. Students are only released to adults who are listed as an Authorized Pick Up person on the Extended Day registration form, which also includes parents. Authorized Persons must sign students out each day in the Extended Day Program office. If other arrangements for student pick up are necessary, written notification is required. Your student must be signed out of the Extended Day Program office by an Authorized Person even if your child is attending an evening function at the school. All Authorized Persons must be 18 years of age or older and have identification available for staff to review. A student must be released to either parent unless a specific custody order prohibiting their release from a Florida Court System is on file with The Weiss School.
  
  

  For safety reasons, messages left on the Extended Day Program voicemail will not be acceptable as notification regarding alternative pick-up arrangements. To avoid any inconveniences during pick-up, please make every effort to keep your contact information updated at all times with the Extended Day Program office. 
  
  

  Please call the Extended Day Program office if you will be late picking up your student. A late fee will be charged to those parents whose student is not picked up by 6:00 p.m.
