"Congressman Brian Mast Visited The Weiss School"

Congressman Brian Mast visited The Weiss School as part of our Distinguished Speaker Series. Congressman Mast has been working with senior legislative advocacy students, comprised of Weiss Debate and CubeSat Development Team members, on a non-binding resolution to support awareness of NASA’s ELaNA program, and specifically, the CubeSat Launch Initiative. Congressman Mast will be presenting the legislation to the United States Congress while our Weiss middle school students are in Washington D.C. February 25th -27th advocating on behalf of the Space Exploration Alliance (SEA).
In addition to talking about our resolution, Congressman Mast spoke to The Weiss School student body and local community members regarding the importance of making a difference and how he was inspired by the variety of educational programming that The Weiss School offers. Congressman Mast also spoke directly with Weiss School students about their work with the International Space Settlement Contest, Science Fair, CubeSats, the proposed Lunar Rover, the High Altitude Balloon, National History Day, STEAM Magazine, and Public Policy projects including Space Day and SEA. We are so proud of our Weiss School students!
