Back-to-School Orientation & Welcome Back BBQ

Please review the schedule that you will follow throughout the Back-to-School orientation event. We staggered the meeting times in our best effort to accommodate families that have siblings in various grade levels. Please follow the following staggered schedule - this is strictly enforced by the Burns Recreation Center due to their pool capacity numbers. DESCRIPTION OF ORIENTATION MEETINGS & EVENTS
  • During the Grade Level Curriculum Presentation, you will receive a curriculum overview and grade level expectations conducted by the core teachers (Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science).
  • During the State of School Address Parent Meeting, Dr. Tammy Ferguson will give a presentation on the 2019-2020 school year.
  • During Meet-the-Elective Teachers, students and parents will visit elective teacher classrooms based on your individual weekly schedule. These are very brief greetings, so please email or set up a teacher conference if needed.
  • During the Welcome Back BBQ, you will have the chance to mingle with existing families and welcome our new families to The Weiss School. A BBQ lunch will be provided by The Weiss School Parents’ Association.
 
**STUDENTS MUST STAY WITH THEIR PARENTS THE ENTIRE DAY. CHILDCARE WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
